UPDATE: Hemp Ban News

Customers in our shops routinely ask us about the latest on the hemp ban. There are always possible new positive developments alongside the constant obstacles thrown in our path, but they more often than not wind up as rumor and innuendo at the end of the day. For your clarity and our mental health, we try to only report and conjecture when real, matter-of-fact occurrences transpire.

Earlier this month, Congress passed a continuing resolution that delays the full recriminalization of THC products from November 12th of this year to December 11th, after the midterm elections.

THE BAD NEWS:

The same ban we’ve been telling you about is still coming. Just now, about a month later. There’s still work to do.

THE GOOD NEWS:

This measure indicates that there is a bipartisan effort to keep CBD and delta-9 THC legal. Instead of a hard “No,” we are now faced with a “We’re thinking about it.”

THE BEST NEWS:

The reversal is almost certainly the result of their constituents- real, everyday people- letting those in power know that they are paying attention.

We didn’t start this store to fight government overreach. We’re not exactly what you would think of as activists. We’re here to help people via good products that we believe in. Like many throughout history, we didn’t choose a fight. But a fight has chosen us.
